Your first instinct will be to find a house, but before you fall in love with a house you cannot afford, or burn yourself out looking at houses that don’t make sense for you before finding your dream home, we’ll want to make sure we’re looking at the right properties. That begins with making sure your finances are in place. In addition to a down payment, there are also closing costs when buying a home.

Most buyers need a loan to qualify for their purchase, but not all buyers are alike… Neither are all lenders or loan programs. There are programs out there with as little as 3% down, discounted rates, or even closing cost assistance. Having the right loan can save you hundreds per month, thousands at closing, and tens of thousands over the course of the loan.

Do not blindly walk into a bank or apply online to get a loan. As in any industry, not all loan officers are created equal, and not all banks have the same offerings. I have connections with many excellent loan officers and brokers at many banks and mortgage brokerages. If there is a specific bank you would like to work with, let me know and I will find you a good contact. Don’t worry, the only benefit to me is knowing you are in good hands and will be able to get the home you are looking for.

Let’s make sure you are with a seasoned loan representative who knows how to qualify you for the right loan to make sure your loan process goes smoothly. The last thing you want is to fall in love with your dream home only to have your loan fall apart while in escrow. Call me first. I have resources that can help you.
